At Solid Ground, we believe in the power of community and the importance of creating meaningful connections creating opportunities for healing, reconciliation and freedom.

#The call of God can sometimes come as a surprise and take us out of our comfort zones. That’s exactly what happened to us (Louis & Eljana Wiid) when we heard God’s calling to leave Johannesburg and start a new ministry in Klerksdorp. At first, we weren’t sure what to make of this call, but as we prayed and sought God’s guidance, we knew that this was the right path for us.

God’s plan for us in this season was not only to pursue our passions of organic farming and honey farming but also to become fishers of men by creating a platform for families to restore and heal relationships and experience the freedom that Christ has for all of us. That’s how Solid Ground was born – a unique destination that offers something for everyone.

As we began to build Solid Ground, we knew that this was more than just a commercial venue. It was a ministry that God had entrusted to us. We wanted to create a space where families could connect with each other and with God. Our park is designed to be a peaceful place where people can experience the beauty of nature and the tranquillity of beautiful surroundings.

The move from Johannesburg to Klerksdorp wasn’t easy, but we knew that God was leading us on this journey. We had to leave behind the familiar and step out in faith, trusting that God would provide for us. And He did. From the moment we arrived in Klerksdorp, we experienced God’s provision in ways we never could have imagined.

We believe that God has called us to be agents of change in our community, to bring hope and healing to those who are hurting. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve God and to make a difference in the lives of those around us.
