FAMILY WORSHIP NIGHTS
Gathering under the night sky with a cup of coffee in hand and a bonfire roaring in the background is a beautiful way to worship Jesus. The flickering flames of the fire provide a peaceful and serene setting, allowing us to connect with God in a unique and intimate way. The warmth of the fire and the coolness of the night air create a comfortable atmosphere that is perfect for singing praises to our Lord.
As we raise our voices in song, we feel a sense of unity and community with our fellow believers. The night sky above us, illuminated by the stars, reminds us of the majesty and wonder of God’s creation. It is a breathtaking sight that fills us with awe and reverence for our heavenly Father.
Whether in a large group or a small gathering, worshipping Jesus under the night stars with coffee and a bonfire is a powerful and soul-stirring experience. It is a perfect way to celebrate the love and grace of our Savior and to connect with God in a meaningful way.
MENS NIGHT OUT
A dream that became a reality! Trevor Wolmarand had a vision of men sharing testimonies under the stars, around a campfire with a warm mug of coffee. He shared the dream with Romke de Jong and Men’s Night Out was born.
There’s something magical about gathering around a bonfire under the stars, with a warm cup of coffee in hand, and sharing stories of how good God has been to us. For many men, it’s a powerful way to connect with each other and with God.
As the flames dance and crackle, men take turns sharing their testimonies and experiences of God’s goodness in their lives. Some may talk about how they overcame a difficult challenge with God’s help, while others may share how their faith has grown through a particular trial or struggle.
Through these conversations, men build a sense of community and support with each other. They encourage each other to keep pressing on in their faith, and to keep trusting in God’s goodness and grace.
It’s a beautiful way to spend an evening, surrounded by the majesty of creation and the warmth of fellowship. And it’s a reminder that no matter what we face in life, we are never alone – God is always with us, guiding us, and loving us.
CHAYIL LADIES GATHERINGS
Gathering and sharing stories of how good God is, is the foundation on which Chayil ladies’ gatherings led by Ilse Wolmarans, Eljana Wiid and Sandy Schoeman have been built. For many women, this is a powerful way to connect with each other and with God.
Some may talk about how they overcame a difficult challenge with God’s help, while others may share how their faith has grown through a particular trial or struggle. These conversations help build a sense of community and support among women. They encourage each other to keep pressing on in their faith and to keep trusting in God’s goodness and grace.
The Hebrew word for “army” is “chayil,” and it’s a beautiful reminder that as women of faith, we are part of a mighty army of warriors who fight for God’s kingdom. It’s a beautiful way to spend an evening, surrounded by the majesty of creation and the warmth of fellowship. This experience reminds us that we are never alone no matter what we face in life, God is always with us, guiding us, and loving us.
SONS RISE
Every Wednesday morning from 5am to 6am, a group of men gathers at Solid Ground to witness the beauty of a new day and to fellowship in Godly teachings and prayer led by Carel van Zyl, Vanheerden & Louis Wiid. As the sun begins to rise, they come together to share their faith, encourage one another, and explore the teachings of the Bible.
As they sit in the quiet of the morning, with the sun slowly rising over the horizon, these men find a sense of peace and connection with God that is hard to find in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Through prayer and reflection, they seek to deepen their faith and understanding of God’s will for their lives.
The fellowship and support of this group is a source of strength and encouragement for each member, helping them to face the challenges of the day with renewed purpose and a deeper sense of connection to God. It’s a beautiful reminder that, even in the midst of a busy world, there are moments of peace and connection that can be found when we come together in faith and fellowship.
CHILDREN EVANGELISM & TEACHINGS
Our children’s evangelism and teachings are designed to provide a fun and engaging way for kids to learn about God’s word. We cover a range of topics, from the Armour of God to the Fruit of the Spirit, and we do so through a variety of activities, games, and lessons that are age-appropriate and interactive.
Our goal is to help children develop a strong foundation in their faith that will stay with them for a lifetime. We believe that by teaching children about God’s love, grace, and forgiveness, we can help them build a personal relationship with Him that will guide them through all of life’s challenges.
Through our teachings, we also aim to instil in children a sense of compassion and empathy for others, as well as a desire to serve and make a positive difference in the world. We believe that by nurturing these values in our children, we can help shape the next generation of leaders who will carry on the work of God’s Kingdom.
Overall, our children’s evangelism and teachings are a vital part of our ministry, and we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
PRAYER WALKS
Our family prayer walks in the beautiful rocky hills and natural scenery are truly a magnificent experience. As we venture out into the great outdoors, we are surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature, with its stunning vistas, meandering streams, and majestic wildlife. The crisp air and the sound of birdsong add to the peaceful ambience, and we feel a deep sense of connection with the natural world.
During our walks, we take time to pray together, expressing gratitude for the beauty around us and asking for guidance and protection in our lives. The act of walking and praying in the midst of such serene surroundings is a powerful way to connect with God and to feel his presence in our lives.
These walks are also a wonderful opportunity for our family to bond, as we share in the experience of exploring the great outdoors and growing in our faith together. We return home from our walks feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and spiritually uplifted, grateful for the opportunity to connect with each other and with God in such a beautiful setting.
